bfbc2 - alternative to cod6 - By: Timo Tückmantel, 27 Jul 2010
I bought this game, because cod6 got on my nerves.
Its a good alternative to cod6.
Nice game !
Very good game. - By: Ados, 22 Jul 2010
I still play Battlefield 2 along the Bad Company 2. I have bought this game for online multi-player only & play it with my friends occasionally. The graphics is excellent but for a smooth & enjoyable gameplay with maximum detail graphics settings + 4xAA & higher resolution as 1920x1200 you will need quite a good computer. Quad & more cores CPUs improve the performance significantly over their dual cores little brothers & the higher the CPU frequency the better. The ideal graphics card for this game right now would be at least NVIDIA GTX 460 considering the price of this card starts on 150 pounds but game can scale down quite will so if you gamein smaller resolution as 1280x720 you would be good with something around ATI HD 4670, or even ATI HD 3850 should still pull it, on NVIDIA side older cards as 8800GT, 9800GT, 9600 GT could still deliver playable experience. You have a motivation to play the gamein multiplayer because the more points you get the different weapons, pistols, guns, shotguns, sniper rifles, gadgets & other class specific things you unlock. So you have a large variety of those things to try & entertain your self with. After some average of 100 +/- hours of mutiplayer you should have about all the unlockable items at your disposal so its quite a long way to get there. When I upgrade my computerin the future I think I will play this game more again.I play it on quad core QX9650 3.3 Ghz, NVIDIA 260 GTX, 4GB DDR2 RAM & 27.5 inch HANNS-G LCD monitorin 1920x1200 resolution & can run it under DX10 with most details on medium settings & 4xAA (anti-aliasing) I wish I am able to play it smoothly with all details on maximum because then the game graphics really stands out. I should have mentioned the advance physics as wellin terms of gradually destroyable walls of buildings with heavier weapons. Imagine when you know that there is a multiplayer opponent soldier hidingin the first floor of some small building & he stands behind the wall where you send the grenade from grenade launcher or rocket from RPG or any other powerful shot like from tank & take the opponent out with the big hole leftin where the building wall used to be. And the price of the PC version is superB now.
Fun Multiplayer - By: sharkbite1414, 21 Jul 2010
A Fun Multilayer that can sometimes be a little frustrating, especially if you are used to COD4. Quite often yo will lose the connection to the server mid game, & the single-player is nothing to write home about. However it is still an enjoyable game.
Best Battlefield PC game yet - By: DroneSec7G, 13 Jul 2010
This is the best PC based Battlefield game I have played. The single player game is engaging, & the banter between the characters is fun. The overall feeling is that of being part of the teamin a difficult situation, where teamwork is essential to win. However, it is a little short.
Where the game really comes into its own though, is the online multiplayer. The ranking system & the upgrading of weaponsin each of the 4 classes of soldier, along with the squad play which encourages team work, makes this a hugely enjoyable but subtley addictive experience. I find myself looking to see what is the next upgrade is working towards them with a sort of "collection fever". The starting weapons are a little weaker than the ones that you gain as you progress, but upgrades come quickly & overall the weapons are well balanced.
The destructible environments make this an altogether different first person shooter (FPS). No cover is permanent. Houses can be demolished by planting & detonating explosives, rockets or tank fire. Trees & wooden buildings are cut down by gun fire which makes the game a fast paced experience. When played with a gaming headset, & some friends to make up a squad, it is one of the best gaming experiences I have had.
If you like FPS's then this is a game not to be missed.
