Great game - By: M U Sic, 21 Jul 2010
I've always been a bit of yeh I'll get fit but never seem to get round to it lol. I got this game & thought I'd get it set up, I'd already been on the Wii fit before it came & Im always up for a challenge - I would recommended the Wii fit before using the work out fitness coach if you have it as its a great warm up with all the stretches & poses.
You do have to go through a half hour of various assessments, getting your measurements etc but once thats done its straightin with when you are going to work out & how long for. At the moment I'm going to do 15 mins 3 times a week but will work out for longer as I get fitter.
Overall I felt good afterwards, strange but I felt like I had a bit of lifein me lol...maybe excercise is good for you :-)
My Fitness Coach - By: N Watson, 15 Jul 2010
Takes a few minutes to set up & you have to put alot of information into it.
The workouts are ok but I I did not really enjoy this one!
Keep going... - By: C. Davison, 15 Jul 2010
Wii fitness coach is something you need to keep up with - it's good for an all round workout but miss a few days/weeks etc & you get told off by Maya the trainer! Otherwise it's OK - I'd rather real people showing me what to do though! 'She' does say some rather annoying things throughout the workouts!
Great Fitness Programme - By: A John, 04 Jul 2010
There is a really well planned fitness programme. It's certainly the best one I've come across so far. You start with a physical challenge, to assess your fitness level. If I was going to have a gripe - it would be that you do this once a week, & I personally found that irritating. Yes you can skip the testsin it, but that would defeat the object, which was to ensure that the exercises are adjusted to suit your current level of fitness.
Following the fitness challenge, the programme suggests a focus. You don't have to stick to it, but I found it accurate. The programme allows you to addin other fitness work you do, which I liked, as I was able to addin my running.
When you select a workout, you can opt for the recommended one, or choose a different focus. There are cardio, flexibility, core strength, upper body or lower body. Then pick the duration, from 15 minutes, 30, 45, 1 hour etc..., & then the equipment you have (step, weights, balance ball). Then choose the music type, & exercise environment. As you complete more workouts, the range of music & types of environment are extended. A workout is then generated. The longer workouts have water breaks every 15 minutes.
I found I enjoyed them - they are fun. There is plenty of variety. If you are not used to exercise classes, some of the movements take a minute or so to pick up, but it's enjoyable. It doesn't use a Wii balance board, but if you have a raise to bring it up to a normal step height, then you can use it. I did find mine was a little short for one or two exercises though - but nothing I couldn't work around.
