Good - but also disappointing - By: J Robertson, 29 Aug 2010
I bought this for three reasons - firstly to get fit (obviously), secondly because the write up said that you could "access almost 500 exercises for flexibility etc etc" & thirdly because it said that you could incorporate a Step & hand weights among other things (this is about the closest game for a Step workout for Wii that you will find - butin that respect it's disappointing). Whilst this will certainly get you fit if you have the time & commitment, the reasons I am disappointed is because I assumed the "accessing almost 500 exercises" meant that you could cherry pick certain exercises into a routine or also leave out certain ones you know you either hate or can't do well. I was wrong. There is no cherry picking. There are half a dozen or so different options to pick from (eg. Cardio/Upper Body/Lower Body/Flexibility etc) but once you have selected one of these, the exercises are already setin stone & you either have to do them or wait for them to passin the routine before you carry on. Also, when incorporating other things such as the Step & hand weights, there is a moving bar along the bottom of the screen that warns you when you will need to use these with a certain exercise. However, you are no sooner doing an exercise on the Step then you are having to quickly put it to one side to do something without the step, then maybe put it backin position again, & so it goes on. They should group all the Step sections togetherin one go. Also, with the hand weights, there are several exercises within a routine where you could use these, but only a handful that suggest you use them. It just doesn't seem very well thought outin these respects. You also can't review what you have achieved so far until you have been doing it for so long.
Not remotely motivational - By: shropshireloon, 17 Aug 2010
I bought this, along with Wii Active 30 Day Challenge,in order to getin shape at home as I don't have much time to get out & do exercise.
I don't like this "Game" at all - I find it very difficult to follow. There are a lot of exercise & positions where you are not able to look at the screen but the Trainer gives no verbal guidance as to what you should be doing. On numerous occasions, I looked up from various positions to find the Trainer had changed position completely without saying anything.
She also stops a lot, starts to get into a position on the floor, only to stand up again & start something else. The warm-up is way too long for me to remain interested & it is now gathering dustin the drawer.
Wii Active is MUCH better - I am flying along with that one & it almost makes exercise enjoyable ;-)

This is not a game, more like an interactive exercise DVD.
The initial assessment is time consuming & I found the 2 mins of star jumps VERY hard going, but have enjoyed the workouts since.
I've been doing the 15 minute ones: each day varies slightly so it stops me getting too bored. I'm gradually getting a little fitter with regular use & I'm not bored yet, so its working well.
Have decided to get some exercise equipment (step, hand weights) to vary the programme.
My 9 year old son has done the assessment & it's indicated he needs to work on his upper body strength. The programme suggested he do 45 minute workouts! A bit much, but easily adjusted to 15 minutes.
As a fat 40 year old who wants to get fitter & lose a little weight, I can recommend this.
enjoying exercise for the 1st time in my life - By: Mrs. U. Mustafa, 09 Aug 2010
I had seen all the positive reviews, so thought I would give this a go. I am really impressed with it & after 1 week I have already lost a few pounds. What more can I say other than I have suddenly become motivated!!!
