DRM loses another sale - By: Bren, 19 Nov 2008
Not a lot to add, Im just posting to add weight to the anti DRM movementin the hope that EA might start listening to their (ex)customers.
Another DRM abomination, argh.... - By: M. Harper, 19 Nov 2008
I really want to play this game, as I have been an avid c&c fan for a long time, & especially the red alert line of the series. However I refuse to buy a game infected with this securom nonsense for the reasons the other reviewers have already outlined, so I won't repeat them all here. :p

Viva la resistance!
Ridiculous! - By: G. williams, 18 Nov 2008
So EA are stomping the C&C universe into the ground until it's dust. I have loyally bought all possible games & expansionsin this franchise, some of which were brilliant, some weren't. It's a shame I'll never know this one unless I either let EA install their pirate software or I break the law & download it from illegal sources.

A real shame.
thanks to the reviewers - By: J. Hooker, 18 Nov 2008
I can't believe that DRM is ingrainedin this game, i was so happy when i saw the release on amazon & bless the reviews for informing me of the poor decision made by EA on this one. im all for the boycott, but jesus i want this game & i will NOT buy it.
regards.
DRM = Bad - By: Mr. J. Bamford, 18 Nov 2008
I was looking forward to this Game. I am a massive C&C Fan & have bought every game & expansion pack (bar Sole Survivor) & play them regularly.

BUT I cannot buy this game. I like the look of the game & have investedin upgrading my PC to play it, but on release contains DRM which is reliant on an outside server to authenticate me to play.

I cant condone this. My old PC was 9 years old (with the odd upgrade) & I was happily playing C&C 1, RA & RA2 quite happily for years.
EA a couple of years down the line will no doubt stop authenticating the installs & I will have nothing but a coaster for my money.

DRM like this has to stop. EA should stick to console gaming. That's what these games are aimed at anyway. Leave PC gaming to a company who cases about the community & listens to their customers.
