If it wasn`t for those damn glitches... - By: Mr. Simon A. Macklin, 09 Jun 2010
It`s such a shame that there are some very irritating, & regular, glitches that will get to you, sooner or later; because this is an excellent Snooker game. Once you`ve played a few hours you`ll find that you can compete against more or less anyone & the only thing that will stop you is the fact it`s too much fun to hit the ball too hard, just like real Snooker! However...once I had got to the winning tournaments stage, the next time I loaded up there was no saved game on the hard drive. So I`d lost a few hours of game play & progress. It happened again too, a week later. So I have to expect that I will never be able to hit the heights for more than one evening...but probably more annoying was the one where a picture of John Virgo appearsin the top right hand corner, covering about a quarter of the table, & wouldn`t go away! He wasn`t saying anything, just sitting with his microphone, gettingin the way! The only way of getting rid of it was to turn it off. The commentary is ok, occasionally repetitive, sometimes completely irrelevant, & the 8-ball & 9-ball options are pretty good. The game is quite slowin loading from one room or screen to another. Allin all, this is a fun game, & fairly accuratein its representation of the game, but it will sometimes leave you frustrated; it`s a 7/10 game.
A joke? - By: J. Bowden, 21 Jan 2010
I can only assume the difficultyin this game is some sort of weird joke, "coaching" mode is insanely difficult, impossible perhaps. Learning to swerve cannot be done, it is not possible, it is a joke, the morons that made this need to get a grip. Imagine the tutorial of Call of Duty being you armed with a tooth pick taking on a 10,000 strong army of crazed machine gunners, this is how difficult WSC 09s "practice" mode is. Just a complete joke.
Now I've given this game 3 because it is quite a good simulation, aside of course, from the fact that it is ludicrously difficult. But it isn't fun, but it is the sport itself that lets the game down strangely. No more punishing a sport could ever be conceived, one tiny mistake & you are absolutely ripped to shreds for it. If you can get past the absolute frustration that this brings then you may like this whether you like snooker or not because it can be quite rewarding. The achievements though are over the top, don't even dream about getting them because you won't, I have 7. I won't get any more.
Maybe I don't understand snooker, I only have this game because it came with my 360, maybe it's difficulty is realistic but for me it seems as if they have tried too much to make things hard, this rings truein practice mode. If you love snooker I'd be surprised if you disliked this.

Imense Graphics - By: D. Merritt Shaw, 25 Jun 2009
Im not too sure, but overall I feel that most of the attentionin creating this game was focused on the graphics & not so much the gameplay. The graphics themselves are extraordinary: the amount of detail makes it seem as if it is live. The main & intial let downs with the game is the frequent & yet irrelevant commentary, followed by the random gasps of the audience...even when you perform a perfect shot. The Pool play is very good, although keeping it to just U.K. was a bit pointless. overall, it is the best one Blade have produced yet, but they still have a long way to go.

I would recomend this to all snooker fans because if you didnt like snooker or pool you would probably get frustrated & bored
