Great fun for kids - By: GolfMadDad2000, 24 Aug 2008
I brought this game for my two boys who are both under 7 & they absolutely love it.

The game is obviously aimed at kids as the difficult level so far has been about right for my eldest. The levels are great fun as they can run around, collect coins, destroy things & occasionally solve the puzzles. With the free play option, all the chapters can be played over again & will enable your kids to search for the secret treasure, etc.

The graphics although not spectacular really do suit the game which I think does add to the feel. There are also little things that make my kids laugh, like Indy cowering when he goes near snakes. The one point I have against the game is that it only saves at the end of the chapter. But this is only minor as I can get through a chapterin 10 minutes(ish)

I have to say that if you are after a game for kids this has got to be a must.

Good game - By: K. Mayers, 12 Aug 2008
Lego Indiana jones is a great game for the ps3. The graphics are quite good, but you cant exactly have millions of different tones on a lego piece. This game s great for the younger ages especially, considering there arent really many games out on the playstation 3 for the younger ages. Overall the qualtiy & level designs look great. the idea that you can work as a team also adds to the speciality off this game.
Would reccommend.
Great nostalgia trip ... - By: DJ Burty (PSN:djburty), 30 Jul 2008
This is a great game, which mangages to fit the Lego Star Wars formula to the Indy films seamlessly. It also provides enjoyable nostalgia for those who have watched the films over the decades & the humour is welcome. The levels & gameplay are varied & there is the obvious huge benefit of massive replayability. Yet I only have rated it 3 stars & the following is why...

1. I've played the PSP version which is virtually identical except for the graphics. Perhaps the PS3 version could have included some more extras?
2. The camera sometimes means that you cannot line up your jumps accurately - surely this is unforgivable for platform gamesin this day & age? maybe some limited camera control or more forgiving jumps (such asin Uncharted)would have been useful?
3. Lego Star Wars (PS3) included all 6 movies & loads of extras. The content of Lego Indy seems woefully lackingin comparison.
4. it seems to me that Lego indy is just a little too easy compared to Lego Star Wars when collecting the bonuses. You can usually become a True Adventurer half way through a level & if you don't find an artifact piece then you can just buy it!!

Other than these issues the Lego platforming concept is stll a genius idea that works well for Indy & they certainly haven't stopped me playing it or recommending it to others!
Good fun but not as good as star wars - By: SHANN, 12 Jul 2008
I have recently bought this as I am a big fan of Lego Star Wars. Its a good game but doesnt really add much to the existing franchise. Its great to have some fresh levels & characters to get stuck into & there are some nice touches but it doesnt bring anything new. It is however, great fun for all ages & backgrounds. Its definitely worth buying, especially if you enjoy Indi films & the star wars lego game.
This game suffers from lack of 'characters' - By: D. Macphee, 11 Jul 2008
Having played the wonderful Lego Star Wars & enjoyed a literal universe of instantly recognisable characters this came as somewhat of a disappointment. Whilst being Indy is extremely satisfying it's really not much fun having to play his various sidekicks (as opposed to Star Wars where you could be Boba Fett, Darth Vadar, Luke, Han Solo, R2-D2, Chewbacca... the list goes on.

With this game, you get a few incarnations of Indy & a whole raft of pretty forgettable & generic characters. It's not the fault of the game, it's just that the trilogy was built around one main character.

The whole format is pretty much the same as Star Wars (basically a series of puzzles & a lot of block smashing).

The presentation is top draw & there's plenty of witty film reference jokes but I feel that there's not enough depth &in multiplayer one of you will become bored by playing second fiddle to the main character.

On the plus side, it looks as if the balance will be redressed laterin the year with Batman Lego.
