This is one of the most useful tools needed for PSP. It does what it should do as described. It will give you the ability to install customsin your PSP without making any damages with your PSP regular battery. It can not be used as a power source for the PSP, but only to boot the PSPin the setup mode (requires knowledge of creating a "magic memory stick" where the custom firmware is installedin the memory - try search on the net for this part).
I used it for my both PSP Slims system & both are working perfectly. I really recommend this product for all PSP users.
Perfect for Purpose - By: Nirmal, 06 Aug 2008 This is a perfect TOOL & does what it claims.. fit for all who want to get to PSP homebrew without the hassles of handmodding their batteries or having a custom phat PSP.
Remember, you will need to charge it firstin your PSP (charging process describedin the product pamphlet shipped alongwith) when you take it out of the box & then with a magic memory stick you can boot your SLIM PSP into service mode to do the wonderful things you want to..

And if you need to know, of course you can NOT use this as a normal battery for your PSP.
It works! - By: D. Ward, 24 Jul 2008 This battery saves you a little time & moneyin making your own pandora's battery. You will also need a 4GB or less pro duo magic memory stick. Download your software for the memory stick install & away you go. The whole process takes about 10 mins but once its done you will have the best handheld on the market! I was going to go for the GP2X F200 console until i did this.
If you are a little unsure search the web for tutorials & youtube for a video guide.

Very nice battery - By: J. Fernandes, 20 Jul 2008 This battery is cheap & works really well. Why get a sony battery & convert to pandora's battery when they probably cost even more. You just need to load the filesin the memory stick , insert the battery & off you go, one cfw psp.
Does what it says on the tin - By: E. Duncan, 29 Jun 2008 Like the other reviews, this is an amazing piece of kit for unbricking or converting to CFW.
You require this & the magic memorycard. I charged it for about an hour, putin the memorystick & it went off without a hitch.
The item is the offical datel one too.
Highly recommended for easy use. Lifesaver for unbricking too.
