Want the latest console? Here's how to get it for a fiver - By: jennie, 20 Nov 2008
Christmas is coming so save your cash! Why purchase something you can get for a fiver.
Go to consolegifts.net & sign up. Complete ONE offer- I would recommend Gala Bingo (you know, the one Sharon Osborne advertises for on tv),as this is cheap & fun (and you might win some moneyin the process!). If you really don't want to spend, there is a free Lovefilm trial.
All companies are well known so there is no risk involved- give it a go! I got my Ipod & many other things this way, so don't miss out.
I was a sceptic once but now I am SO glad I gave it a chance. BBC approved this system on their Newsnight programme a while back.
Many items to choose from; PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS Lite or even an PSP.

Excellent Fun For All Ages! - By: Sood, 28 Oct 2008
I've had my NDS Lite for about eight months now & have never regretted buying it. I was initially put off with the bulky original DS, but after seeing an NDS Lite thought I would bite the bullet. I also bought an external see through case/skin & a small hard pouch/case to put the nds lite & its peripherals into it. If your going to spend this much money spend a little more to protect your investment. I'm glad I did - Ive dropped this a couple of times onto the floor some time ago (not recommended!), but the hard crystal case/skin (which i bought separately) appears to have saved it.
The NDS Lite itself is incredibly addictive many games use the touch screen stylus & microphone as well as the buttons. I have since played with a PSP & been overawed by the PSP - the games on PSP look way more better than on the NDS, but again Nintendo have got the mixture just right & I still don't regret buying the NDS Lite - its my faithful companion that I even take to work (to play during my breaks). Although I initially bought this for myself, my wife is forever 'borrowing' it! This is where another coloured DS Lite would comein handy!
I hate carrying all my cartridges around with me so I ended up buying a m3 ds real, a flash cart that you use instead of the game cartridges. This is a bit if a grey area as although it doesn't invalidate your Nintendo warranty, its usage is frowned upon as a lot of people use it for piracy. But its advantages cannot be denied - Ive got a 8gb micro sdhc card which slots into the m3, & allows me to carry 8gb worth of games all on one cartridge! (you have to download the games, & you can download legal home brew software, but please support the game developers & *only* download the cartridges you own). I tend to find prices on play.com very good for buying nds cartridges. The m3 also allows me to play video, music & pictures on the NDS Lite - something Nintendo should have done ages ago.
Also with some games you can actually export your saved characters onto the Wii!! For example Pokemon Daimond/Pearl on NDS to Pokemon Battle Revolution on the Wii!
If your debating whether or not to buy - just buy it, you wont regret it! (Now all you have to do is choose what colour you want!)
The Best Selling Console In Every Market - By: michael myers, 01 Jan 2008
We owned an original Nintendo DS for two years - we bought it right when it releasedin December 2004. When I first saw the DS Lite at E3in 2006, I was thrilled. The game great handheld unit design - but lighter! Brighter! Tuned! It really showed that Nintendo had been paying attention to customer feedback during those two years, & had tweaked its unit to be even better than before.
First, the weight. We always *loved* the design of the DS, with its folding top. As PSP owners, I can't tell you how many time that poor PSP screen gets dinged or scratched. We had to buy extra carrying cases for our PSP & get screen protectors. In comparison, the DS's clamshell design means the screen is perfectly protected when you tote it aroundin your pocket or purse. The only down-side was that it was a bit heavy. With the DS lite, they keep the protection of the clamshell & also lighten up the unit significantly. It really does help a lot.
The screen brightness - with it being *adjustable* - is an incredibly helpful update. Sometimes you're playing outsidein very bright light. Sometimes you're playingin full dark, staying awakein bed. There are all levelsin between. If you need that brightness, you don't care if you're burning up your battery power. If you do NOT need that brightness, why kill your battery for no reason? Having that ability to adjust really means that your battery works as best as it possibly can.
We play several games that use the microphone, like Brain Age, & it definitely helps to have itin the center. Usually you're holding the unit with both hands, centered on your face. To have your mouth pointed right at the microphone helps out greatly with those games.
In general the DS system is a fantastic handheld gaming system. We have both the DS & PSP & we play both frequently. Many of the games on the DS aren't available on the PSP & are a ton of fun. The Brain Age / Big Brain Academy / similar games stand out as games we enjoy daily. There are many other games that use the DS touch screen extremely well, giving a full interactivity of gameplay. Yes, the PSP has better graphics. It's something that the DS compromised on. They have less detailed graphics, but more interactivity. Both are great for the games they offer. So for example we play flight simulator style games on our PSP, where the high end graphics matter, & we play puzzle / platform / thinking games on the DS, where the interactivity & plot is more key.
I highly recommend the DS Lite for anybody who doesn't have a DS yet - whether you have a PSP or not. It's not an either-or situation. It's like having a stereo & a TV set. They're both great for their own reasons, & most people would enjoy having both.
If you HAVE a Nintendo DS already & are wondering if you should get a Lite, it really depends on how much you use it away from home. The primary benefit here is the lighter carrying weight, smaller size & much better battery life. If you're carrying itin your pocket, purse or backpack every day, I would really recommend getting a Lite. You can always give your original DS away to a friend or relative as a present, or sell it on eBay. The DSs are stillin high demand & would be much loved by a new recipient.
