Worth the Wait - By: Justine Walker, 22 Jul 2008
Like so many others I have been desperately trying to get hold of a Wii fit without paying through the nose for it. I finally managed to get one as part of a game bundle from Gamestation. I have to say that it was worth the wait & so far I have really enjoyed playing on it. My concern however is that I will quickly become bored of the fairly limited amount of activities. I hope that more games will be developed that will utilise the balance board. I am glad that I did not pay the extortionate prices that some people are charging. I can only hope that people will not givein & pay these prices & then the greedy ones who are trying to profiteer will be left with egg on their faces!
If you got a Wii don`t miss this! - By: The Ranger, 21 Jul 2008
I spent less money on holiday than I thought so decided to buy a Wii Fit. It turns out to be a lot better than I thought it would be. First up you putin your height & age then you get weighed & it gives you your BMI then it tests you on posture & you find out you`re not standing as straight as you think you are, & gives you some simple bending games. Then its on to the training. Theres yoga which you can really feel benifits from quickly, arobic games like hula hoop ( two goes & I`m knackered)running on the spot, balance games like skiing & heading a ball & muscle building like press ups. All the games are very challenging & great fun. The only drawback is when playing as a family to take turns you have to keep going back to the mii plaza to change mii`s then the board has to resync with the new mii which takes time. Allin all a great item & if you got a Wii you should definetly get this. Also if your thinking of getting one for Christmas I would start looking now as it took me a week to get one without paying over the odds.
Not as good as I hoped - By: Anya Bramich, 21 Jul 2008
Everyone seems to really like the wii fit but, after two weeks of owning it, I'm yet to be convinced.
I wanted to use the board so that I didn't need to go to the gym quite so much but it's definitely no substitute. I am really disappointed that there are very few aerobic games - the bit I was most interestedin - there's definitely not enough to keep me interested. I love the step one but it doesn't last very long & there's only two variations on the programme. I really hope Nintendo are releasing some games to go with this very soon.
Loving it! - By: Sophia Tarantino, 14 Jul 2008
My Wii Fit arrived today exactly on the date Amazon.de gave me.
It arrived 4 weeks earlier than the predicted date.
I loving it! My own Personal Trainer. Aerobics, Yoga,Balance, Muscle training.
Everything is monitored & recorded. Aims to lose weight. Aims to improve fitness!
BMI/predicted age & lots more measured on the scale.
The games are good & competitive.
No boring celebrity DVD & no huge gym equipment.
Worth ordering from Germany. Don't get fleeced by the sky high prices by private sellers.
Body changes - By: M. Christian-Edwards, 14 Jul 2008
We have had the Wii Fitin our house for a couple of months now. It is used regularly; every day by myself, & almost every day by my wife & teenage daughter. We were not completely unfit before, however there is no question that we have all changed shape on this machine! Tighter torsos are noticable all round, which can't be a bad thing.
I already have several methods for working out & would not want to drop these completely; however we have all found the wii fit definitely keeps you motivated. Nothingin my past history has ever managed to get me running on the spot for 30 minutes without a break, for example!
After 8 weeks of non-stop usage the novelty definitely does wear off a little. Motivation has to come from within, once you have reached your peak at each exercise - high scores are harder to come by. At the same time, some of the exercises I found really tough to begin with are now much easier. 90 seconds of holding my 14 stone torsoin a horizontal position is now "hard work" rather than "a killer". Yes, BMI is not a perfect measurement of health, but it's all relative. I already knew I needed to lose a couple of stone & the Wii Fit is helping me to do that.
The balance games are fun but, like Wii Sports, could have been even better. I am not the only one hoping that Nintendo brings out some decent software upgrades before too long.
Overall, very glad to have the wii fit & would recommend it to anyone.
