this game is ace, my boyfriend bought it me because i love both films & im always singing the songs like 'i dont dance'. I gave it a go & i was on it all day! my boyfriend had to refill my glass of water for me a few times though because i was singing my heart out. The duets are soo cool. you can have 8 peoplein your singing party to sing along with you. also if you & someone else are singing duets & your friends are waiting for their turn on the mics, they can fiddle with stuff thats on your stage. they can change instruments & all sorts. (you have to see it to understand)
however i agree with some of the reviews because the cartoons arn't great, they only have videosin the extras & those videos are of dance rehearsals & interviews. & the basketball pitch metor can get annoying but it can help too. If the blue lines are dark blue it means you didn't hit the right note as the singers. but if its light blue then you did it. there is loads of songs! there is about 21 songs that arein high school musical 1 & high school muscial 2. there is also about 9 more songs that arntin the movie but they arein other disney movies like jump in.
allin all, i love this game, well worth it weather your after a good sing along or a funny karaoke party.
im defiantly buying this game for my friends birthday presents.

When I first got this game 4 my xmas present I was excited. The cartoon backdrops are great & has extra features. One bad thing is the fact u hav 2 unlock all highschoolmusical 2 games by yourself although the extras tell u how which is helpful so u kno how far 2 go b4 u unlock the next! thrs also gr8 songs from aly & Ajy which is also a bonus.
I personally like the basketball idea so you know how highsu should be singing & is great fun but options can be confusing & the story mode should really have clips from the movie instead.
some bad poitns though is mainly the fact somehow your expected to sing ALOT higher if your singing a females part of the song compared to the males so when you do a duet someones voice ends up getting drowned & unheard. the pitches are wierd too, u end up sining 2 low at one point its almost like a murmour, then soo high the next minute it just sounds odd....
over all its ok, there could be more backdrops though!

Any hsm fan should get this, im 11, nearly 12, so is my friend & my other friend is 14 & she loves it too. Great game as i said & it will keep you entertained for hours! (by the way im D.Ward's daughter)

This game is a kind of spin off of the singstar games, but Disney style. It is great if you love the High School Musical films. More about singing the songs rather than the story (although there is a story mode). It Failsin two areas, it is confusingin the set up & play (especially if there are two players) & the pitch bar/meter isn't the greatest. Being designed for children it is easy to get high 'grades'in your singing & I haven't yet found a way to increase the difficulty. Allin all a good game but could be better. Only really a must for High School Musical fans.

I was also very disapointed with this game. The graphics are terrrible. When i played it with my sister it echoed all the time. I was very excited about it when i got it for christmas mostly because it looked fun, i like hsm 1 & 2 & that the singstar company where part of the making of it. But when i played it it was rubbish! The graphics are all blurry & as most of the other reviews say the bouncy basketball was very distracting not helpful & it wasn't the acctual characters singing it. The other thing that was dissapointing about it was that the words arn't the samein the movie. They have changed words & added words. If i was you i wouldn't buy it.
