NFS fans? - By: Mr. Philip A. West, 20 Nov 2008
If you love the Need for Speed series then you'll love this game. Wait, did I say love. I meant HATE!!
Need for Speed has always been my choice for driving games. With the release of NFS underground you had the bonus of designing cars aswel as driving them. This was betteredin the follow up; NFS underground 2. The next NFS release was NFS Most Wanted. And How AMAZING was that? I loved it. Then NFS Carbon was released, also a great game...
then what went wrong?! I'm not going to bore you with the detailed ins & outs of this game (although its worth mentioning the level set up is rubbish & its all track based - rather than street based), but I will some up by saying...
DONT BUY THIS...
BUY NFS MOST WANTED OR NFS CARBON INSTEAD!

Decent little game! - By: Mr. D. J. Stewart, 02 Oct 2008
Okay seriously the bad reviews shouldn't be gone by! This game is a fun, simulation styled track race game. Its track racing for the modified car crews out there.
Basics are I got this way before Juiced 2 HIN so immediately fellin love with its STRANGE gameplay. When I got used to it tho, it rocked! Its more of a simulation, the controls are DIFFERENT, & there's a lot of depth into the game.
Another review moaned that it didn't explain what 'changing the cam settings' did, but engine tinkering is all part of the fun if you want to try it. Just randomly try things out & test drive your car to see if it works for you & if not.. go back to basics!
The best thing for me is the range of old bangers to new beauties you can get, the option to autosculpt the bodykits & paintwork is a lot better than previous NFS games, & the fact they've taken it off the streets & onto the circuits is a fresh change.
They're trying their best to copy Juiced tho, I believe, & by the feel of both games I DO *PREFER* Juiced HIN, but by far this game still gets played too. BOTH very good games, both obviously worth buying. Getin there with both of them. They ARE better on the x360 & PS3 as you get more features & better graphics, then again even better on the PC if you have it powered up with DX10.
But even on the PS2, (yeah I have both for the PS2 & both for the PC) it's decent ammounts of fun.
Don't be shy, give it a try! Under a 5er second hand, seriously!!!!!! Buy it!!!!!!

Bring back the old NFS - By: Mathew C. Cleaves, 03 Jun 2008
Arguably the second worst NFS game after Underground. EA Bring back the street racing, police chases & FREE ROME. I would normally test a carin single player random race to see if its worth buying- you cannot do this so i wasted about 400k on the Lambo only to find out that it is rubbish!
I only found this game good for the first hour or so then i got frustrated with waited for it to load/save! the actual driving experience is average but you should be able to use a 4 wheel drivein drifting as the evo x is AMAZING at driftingin grip mode.
Get you're act together EA & don't call the next game Pro-street 2 unless you can actually DRIVE on the street!
