This is a fairly shallow game, I'm a hard core driving game fanatic but even I have to admit that this one was a little disappointing. Awkward controls, dated graphics, linear storyline & the races have a very fake or 'staged' feel to them with the opponents getting absurdly fast if you leave them too far behind & bumbling like idiots if you crash early on.
I played it through once to the endin a couple of hours & went back to the PS2 after that. Now I've got an xbox this one isn't going to get a look in.

Lots of negative reviews on other sites due to difficult controls. I have to agree. Many, many different options to set up the wiimote & nunchuck to a way that suits you. I found all resulted with at least one control so sensitive as to be unworkable.

the game was over all very good but the only downside was that the cotrolls for the Wii were not really build for this kind of game especially when you try to make you drift, the controlls are useless.

the game is amazing the best part of the game is when you make your own car the racing is good to by the way if you ever get the game dont go the the outskirts first & dont get cocy the cop chases are very good when you get chased try to make it last as long as you can my car is cool & yol love it. so i give you a challinge make a supper cool car this is my review & i wish i could play with you at home.
Carbon or Excite Truck??? - By: E Toots, 27 May 2007 When youve got a Wii the 1st thing you need is a driving game & for me just because of how cool it seemed to use the Wiimote like a steering wheel!! I must say i nearly swayed towards Excite Truck because it seemed a lot better gameplay &in a way i may have been right. I think that the career mode on NFS Carbon is way too easy the only really hard part about it is the police chases (you can hardly ever get away unless you really good at taking tight corners) & the canyon duels because it always seems that your opponent it miles better than you & you crash off the canyon thing & have to start again. The good bits though... graphics are ace & the detail on the cars are better than Ps2in my opinion. The drift race is cool but hard to get used to. i still love the drag racein Most Wanted & was hoping theyd have brought that into Carbon.Overall i would probably reccomend someone to get Carbon over Excite Truck because its more realisiic & the graphics & gameplay are better but the career mode could have been a bit longer.
