Does what it's supposed to do - By: Ruth Andrews, 14 Sep 2008
What else is there to say? It works. It does its job (very well), there are thousands of codes for (probably) every single DS game imaginable. It's easy to use, & effective.
The reason I gave it a 4in the fun rating is because it's NOT fun typingin codes that can have potentially 100 charcters into your DS, but luckily you can copy & paste it into the software that came with it, which saves a lot of tedious tapping with the stylus.
The only problem I had is when I plugged it into my PC, sometimes the software didn't recognise it, but this could be because I was using Vista, & it's designed for XP. So Vista users, beware. It works, but it takes some fiddling.
Great product overall, & camein very useful.

Very disappointing .... - By: Michael D. Brown, 26 Jun 2007
Installed it OK but a key icon is missing from the DS screen. The instruction booklet is completely unintelligible to anyone without a degreein computer science. So unable to add any new codes manually.
Does exactly what it says on the tin!! - what more can I say?! Great!! - By: Emma McFarland, 08 Jun 2007
After reading a few reviews across the Internet, I was a bit hesitant whether or not to buy this as some peoplein forums reported faulty software & difficult connectivity to your computer. However, I went ahead & ordered off Amazon (great price & came like the next day, brilliant!), & was pleasantly surprised when it arrived - the action replay is just like inserting a game into your DS & prompts you to insert a game, after which you have the options of choosing from a list of codes specifically for that game. But what about new games out? Easy! A USB cable, supplied, connects to your computer & it is so so easy to update your codes list, using the supplied software!! Even on my slow modem connection it was pretty much instant!! Now I'm able to get past a bit I was stuckin in a game! So yeah I'd recommend this for anybody who, like me, gets frustrated when they get to a certain partin a game & cannot get past it, & desperately wants to get through the rest of the game! :)
Does not work when connecting to a PC to update - By: NoneTheLess, 16 May 2007
This is the second DS Action Replay I have purchased, the first being a joint GBA/DS Action Replay. Neither of them would properly connect to the PC. A total waste of money. What's even worse is the non-existent customer help from Datel. So now I am left with a blank Action Replay cartridge, having followed instructions from Datel, to reset the cartridge. Never buy anything for your DS from Datel, you may as well burn your money, at least you'd see something cool that way.
