What a missed opportunity this was.
Farcry with the added ability of Wiimote controls would have been amazing. this game has Wiimote controls but it ain't Farcry.
The overall presentation of this game is sloppy & very much rushed & unfinished. It still amazes me that games this shoddy can be releasedin this day & age with all the competition around
The graphics are absurd with poor textures, animation, framerate & lighting.
Controls are the only aspect of this game that are relatively good. The aiming is precise & the option to fire dual wielding weapons individually, with Mote or nunchuk is a nice touch, but its pointlessin such a terrible game.
The game is also very linear with invisible walls blocking your pathin the open areas & on the sea, which is opposite to one of the main selling points, the open landscapes with area upon area to explore. AI is horrendous, enemies can't see you when you'rein front of them at times & other times they can see you through walls & objects you're hidden behind.
Story is waste of time & very confusing & being a Farcry veteran of the Pc versions, I didn't have a clue where this fitin to the overall story.
I would've preferred a port of the pc original with Wiimote controls to this. There are much better shooters on the Wii all hope is not lost!

I bought this game for one of my grandchildren, the game has been played regularly since xmasin fact most of the family seem to enjoy the action within the game. I would certainly recommend this game!
Well its stil a good game. - By: M. Pruden, 25 Feb 2009 well its seems my version of Farcry on Wii must be different to the other reviews. as i have this game & i feel its a good game. The graphics are good for the Wii, they do the job. I have this on pc. & this is good conversion. Its a great shooter. I feel the gameplay is ok. the level design is good.
Overal a great game. Too many people say the Wii is not next gen. so thats correct. But its still a contender for the best selling console & intuitive game designs. Overal if your a Wii owner its worth having. Granted if this was Time Crisis it would be 5 stars all the way. but heres hoping Namco.
So if you want something different to mario or sonic. this is it.
Action filled - By: K. Steward, 29 Jan 2009 Action packed game with the ability to drive trucks, jeeps, quad bikes, jetskis, when you die you start at the last savepoint which saves regularly - luckily for me!

On the PS2in it's early days or PC around the same time, this would have been a pretty average basic FPS.
Nowadays it just looks really outdated & bland. The wii controls work ok, except for trying to turn around quickly (you simply can't).
The graphics are pretty bland & jaggedy, although it does have nice large environments.
The enemies are hopeless, you can complete whole levels casually walking past the enemies ignoring the tiny amount of damage they do to you.
Not really worth bothering within the days of Medal Of Honor Heroes 2 & Metroid Prime 3.
