I bought this game for my PSP, the idea of the game is fantastic & I was really excited about playing it, however after spending 2 whole days repeating failed mission after failed mission I got to about Mission 11 or 12 & gave up on the game & will put it up for sale.
The reasons? Well the graphics, sound etc are 5 stars, the game is let down badlyin three areas which are interlinked, the controls on the PSP make it VERY difficult to control your player especially shoot with any accuracy, add to this that a lot of the missions are VERY VERY hard & you can't save the game regularly so you must keep starting at the beginning of the mission (it's a long slow process!)and the game becomes a chore, I got so angry & frustrated with it I nearly bust a blood vessel & decided to chuck the game for the sake of my health!! What a waste of 2 days of my life!
I'm no gaming biff, been playing games all my life but the PSP is not suited to this sort of game especially one made sooooo hard. Unless you are a veteran GTA player, do not bother wasting your money on this, if you have a full size console or PC, buy itin these formats instead.

Well, what can i say! rockstar have done it again, The simerlaries been the old vice city & this are tingleing!Thats start with the graphics: 4/5: brillant for a miget like a psp! but be warned things can pop up unrelisticly at speed causing a bit of damege to your motor!
Game play
4/5:There are so much things to do like missons Killing people & exporering it will easy keep you entertained. but the missions are not very good when you lose you feel like kicking your psp! also theres a thing about buieses its annoying because you have to go to your buiesses to proteck them its anoying! expecaily when you are the way to a misson!

5/5:Its never boring I like killing people & nickig their cars! also the missons are fun (if you dont lose them)

You play a pussy man called victor vance who was lances brotherin vice city(the first one) so its a before time of the first vice city a very good game

I wasn't convinced I'd like this game but was willing to give it a go after reading so many positive reviews. I have got to say that I have just finished with the storyline mode & I still have got loads to do. I feel that the storyline is part of the mainattraction but there are so many cool levels to play as an aside, such as bulding your crime empire etc.
My advice is simply if you want a game that combines driving & shooting levels convicingly then this is a must. You can pick this game up so just go for it. One of the things I liked most about this was the wayin which you can use different methods of transport to complete levels, so if you keep getting hitin drive-bys, you go by helicopter instead.

I was actually really looking forward to playing this game having enjoyed the original Vice City immensely but I found it a bit of a let down myself. This game isn't really suited to the psp because it's not the type of game that you can just pick up & play on the bus due to some overlong & extremely hard missions, I did complete the game but I found it much more frustrating than any of the other GTA games & the Empire building is very repetitive & also get's very annoying after a while, if you're on your way to start a mission & one of your empire's comes under attack then you have to stop everything you were doing to go defend it & then once it's defended & you resume what you were doing another Empire'll come under attack, I ended up doing this 5 or 6 times once on my way to a mission, once i'd finally done I then had to go back to top up my weapons & armour & save my game just so I could get back into actually doing a mission, I found this more annoying than fun & it ruined the game for me, the Territoriesin San Andreas were nowhere near this annoying although they did have their moments.
Overall I think if they'd got rid of the Empire building rubbish & added more side missions instead then this game would've recieved a higher score from me, but as it is I think Liberty City stories was much better due to it's shorter main story missions & better side missions.
But hey ... that's just my opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Almost perfect for the PSP - By: M. Godenho, 15 Jan 2008 I love this game...at it's really suited to the PSP.
The graphics are cool, the music is excellent & the theme of the 80s LA style is almost perfect really.
I've only given the game 4 stars for "fun" because it can be a little difficult, although I'm not the best gamerin the world so it could just be me!
If you've played GTA before then you know all about the format & how it works & it may be a little "been there done that" for you.
But if you haven't, or you're new to the PSP then this is the one game I heartily recommend. Seriously. if you could have one game for the PSP this may very well be it!
