BAD BAD GAME - By: Mack Ellis, 02 Jan 2009
This game I bought with high hopes, & frankly it's terrible. Maybe I'm being a bit critical having only played it twice, but even then I didn't enjoy it.
1. Gameplay's to hard & complecated
2. Hard to see what's happening
3. To many menus
To be honest I really can't see anything good with this awful really hyped up game. :(
Disappointing - By: , 25 Nov 2008
To put it short terrible.
I hated the way it was set out.
I hated the gameplay.
The best thing was the party mode.
Save your money on Zelda or Smash Bros
Sonic returns...nearly... - By: Mr. R. Coombs, 09 Nov 2008
Sonic at the Secret rings is ultimately a fun experience depending on how you approach it. If you've never liked Sonic games then the chances are that this wont really change your mind. Its the first on-rails Sonic game, & actually is a lot of fun, & boost the Wii graphics with some great artistic backrounds. The only faults however is its camera which can be horrible at times, & the controls. The camera is great when your going forward but as soon as you go backwards, its a different story. You are ultimately going backwards blind folded, as the camera is always behind you, notin front. The controls can get VERY frustrating at times, especially when you try & go back or stop. Sonic is moving all the time, & its hard to do exactly what you want at points.
That said its one of the best 3D Sonic games out there, behind Sonic adventure. And compared to SEGA's attempts to make exclusive games for next gen, its pretty descent.
Good for playing with friends - By: A. Ibironke, 13 Oct 2008
The story mode is kind of weird but after an hour or two, you get used to it. It is very different to other sonic games as its multiplayer mode can take up to four people & the mini games are much more competitive.
Pretty good Sonic game! Shame it's on-rails though. - By: Gabbi, 23 Aug 2008
This was one of my first Wii games, & it isn't bad either! There's Sonic only gameplay to be expected here, so some who hated the abundance of other characters will really like it. However this game is completely on-rails, which makes it very different from other Sonic games. Also, there's a whole Arabian feel to it, & the levels reflect this. The music & graphics are very nice, & Party mode is fun & hilarious. There's also a Special book where, by completing certain missions, you get concept art, music, medals & more! I'd say this game is definitely better than Sonic 06 by far.
That doesn't mean it hasn't got its fair share of flaws though. Most of these are that Shahra, the character who gives you hints & such, gets very annoying after a while especially when she goes on & onin any stage you're playing. Also, at first the controls are pretty hard, but you get used to them after a while. Then there's the whole RPG skills element thing, which really doesn't fit with the game. And it's silly that at the beginning of the game Sonic is slow as a snail, but once you level up more & more he'll get faster & earn better skills & stuff. Some stages can be very tedious too & the bosses (particularily the last one) are an annoyance.
Overall I say the fun factor of this game is alright, & the game itself is just good. Of course this game isn't the best since Sonic Adventure 2, but it's a good Sonic game either way & is FAR better than Sonic 06.
