Historicaly accurate, but it was a british op !! - By: M. Lawrence, 14 Dec 2009
I bought this game for peanuts & thought it was a blast. Yes it doesnt match the standard of some games like COD etc, just accept it for what it is & your away.I did feel quite immersedin the moment & felt like i really wasin the battle, gameplay was brill. One thing tho, i didnt get the feeling of how important it was to clear & maintain the corridor for xxx corp to reach the 1st Airborne division at Arnhem ( Yes there were British soldiers at Operation Market Garden ). If the publishers combined elements of BIA HH on ps2 & todays graphics with the current game on ps3 it would have been AWESOME.......nuff said.
First Person AND Tactical - By: Rondo Khesmin, 24 Oct 2009
The graphics are actually really good: clear, detailed, with brilliant animations. What's more the slow motion kill sequences are a fantastic little tweak.

If you want to set up flanking maneuvers, place machine guns to cover you & use squad-based tactics, then this is your game.

This is so much more than just a shooter. It's thinking-man's crumpetin game form.

Brilliant & underrated. I just can't stop playing this one.
Let's forget the cutscenes - By: S. Unmack Larsen, 23 Oct 2009
If I take a look at the rest of the game it's not that bad. I had read the reviews & decided to try the game anyway, particularly at the recent price I would feel silly not to. In-game graphics are not bad, actually they are quite good: all the little details, smoke, fire & mayhem. Audio, control & feel is notin any way lacking. I can point my mp at an enemy, the bullets bunch up nicely & he usually drops dead; if I take my time there's no mercy & I'm done for, as should be.

I think what gets to people is the unsuccesful mix of brutality & sloppy sentiment. You like it or you don't. However, I see other reviewers comment on scenarios & the failed control system, things I haven't encountered yet & probably never will. I suppose I belong to those that won't finish this game, not by a long shot.

Except for the cut scenes the graphics alone are worth the price, it is very intense action though rather confusing. I prefer "Call of Duty World at War", "Call of Duty 3" & "Medal of Honor Airborne". BUT perhaps "CoD 3" comes 4th. I would have to play some more Hell's Highway, problem is I can hardly be bothered. Too many games are better.
too much story - By: W. J. Over, 16 Jul 2009
The game was possibly a little above average for a war game but the story was poor, not well thought out, too long & dull & the characters were forgetable & it just lessened the gaming experiance.
brill fun - By: matt evans, 20 Feb 2009
i think the game is brilliant but pretty gory you can blow people to bits & if you get a haedshot you will take a chunck out off the enemys head! overall it is very fun but i would say that because i like going to the dead & looking at the gore!
