hoping for a wii sequel - By: Fantastic Miss Fox, 22 Jul 2010
This game is really fun to play, looks great & has a large immersive world to explore. Ive never played a FF game before as im a fan of realtime combat, but i have to say the world & story design are very nice. Yes the voice overs need a lot to be appreciated & the female characters are mostly annoying but the different towns & mini games make up for this. The gameplay is constantly being shook up, from shootingin the air to lifting & throwing enemies. There is even some platformingin it. Don't expect much RPG elements tho, you can upgrade your character with items but then again you can play the game without ever changing him. The problem mostly is this game doesn't really know what it it, its a bit of everything. I would say its an action adventure.

The fighting is fun, but you never really get your teeth into it & most enemies you never need to fight. This makes the game a little on the easy side. Since most mini games & RPG elements are entirely optional you don't always get a sense of achievementin the game either. That being said this is a very fun & beautiful game, something lacking on the wii till now. Im hoping for a sequel where they can refine the gameplay & fighting to make something a bit meatier & a lot less confused. That i think would be an amazing game!
Good but could have been better - By: S. Campbell, 26 Apr 2010
The graphics for this game are really brilliant & really push the wii graphics to the limit.

However, I found the game itself to be not so good. The fight scenes I found annoying as there were no weapons & simply his power that you could use & found this to be annoying, & at some points, difficult to use.

At points I was not able to keep track of the story line as I would have been to busy trying to figure out where I was going next & what I was meant to do.

However, on saying this the game was quite fun & it was amazing to see how far they have come with the graphics but I just felt that it could have been much better.
Disappointing - By: C. Lie, 10 Apr 2010
I didn't even care to play through the whole game. Bad graphics, bad voicing & basicly a to childish setting. This game has no soul.
Disappointing for an FF title - By: C. van Gestel, 18 Mar 2010
I have almost all numbered FF titels & was really happy with the release of a new FF on the wii as I don't (yet) own a PS3 (I will buy one soon for FF13).
The game-play needs some getting used to (it's not really fighting with spells or swords, it's about throwing around your enemies), but once mastered, it's much fun. Yet it takes out the creativityin battling, at least for those who like the FF way of fighting. It's not about experience, you can beat the end-boss without fighting any fight that's not part of the story-line. Also, you basically can't diein a boss fight as you are revived without the boss gaining any HP itself, making the game insanely easy (and wasn't the fun of FF that you needed to get stronger to be better at defeating enemies?)

The story-line is amazing. Without ruining the story for you: The Crystal Principle which is needed for all life, but which created Crystal Bearers which are feared. Four "human races" who don't always get along like they should... combined with a nasty bad-guy, a strange best friend, a goody-goody princess & a bratty attractive girl who turns circles around our hero. But the story line is by far not used like it could & it's an incredible shame.
I finished the gamein 17hours, which included 4 hours of useless running around because I had no idea where to go (the map showed me I was right where I had to be but nothing happened). I'm used to needing at least 35 hours for a Final Fantasy title, excluding the side-quests. With more story-line (not even a better one, the story itself is great, it's just too short) & more fights, this game would be a 5 star! And now I am nothing but disappointed. Very disappointing for a Final Fantasy game.
A short but enjoyable game - By: W. J. Shapiro, 06 Mar 2010
The game is probably designed for younger gamersin there early teens. I particularly enjoy the way the game takes you along on a story. Its a game for the less serious gamers among us.
