While COD3 offers decent though not outstanding graphics on PS3, enemy AI & general standard of gameplay leaves quite a lot to be desired. I bought COD3 mainly for its online team/co-ops/competitive gaming, since COD4 onwards do have excellent online gaming. So far online gaming simply has not been an option on COD3: when selecting multiplayer mode, the game simply states: "Could not connect. Please check your network hardware & cables to ensure they are connected properly." Then it opts the player back to single player mode or system software. Online gaming is totally perfect for all my other PS3 games, so this must be a COD3 software glitch - either that or the online gaming network for COD3 is simply no longer supported. So COD3 is not recommended unless you only want single player, & even then it is nothing special.

Great shooting game, long missions so it is NOT a game you'll spend a fortune on & play for 10 minutes. can glitch at times but great online play but no online parties.overall a great game PS3 name: jmulvaney

Before I start this review I'd like to point out that I'm Mrs.Davies son rather than Mrs.davies herself.
If it were possible to rate the game to be 4 & a half star then I would have done. The controls are simple, the gameplay is capteveting & it's basicly your usual COD game.I have not put five stars because of three things.
1. There is far to much of a gap between normal & hard difficulty. Anyone used to playing at normal difficulty would be utterly bowled over when the difficulty is set to hard.
2.The playstation version has no split screen mode so you can't play with your friends when you all meet up. You have to go through the tedious process of setting up an internet game.
3.Weapons are far to easy to use. If you shoot somebodyin the hip it will kill them immediately. If you shoot them twicein the foot they also drop dead.
Though this game is imfinitly better than COD finest hour (which I would rate as 1 star), & the controls better than on COD 2 big red one, it isn't perfect. But then again... I'm yet to encounter a game that is. However, I just ordered modern warefare 2 & everyone says that that's a great game.

I play the first 7 levels of this game & it isn't very bad, but i have some problems with it.
-The difficulty setting aren't well balanced. On easy i died 2-3 timesin the 7 levels, on medium i died 1-200 times.
-the gameplay is a bit monoton, always kill fast everybody & run for the next cover to prevent respawn.
But it also gave me lot of fun to play so it is worth the relative cheap value (~5000HUF) on the other side i won't buy other similar CoD titles.
Call of Duty 3 - By: T. J. Harrison, 06 Feb 2010 The game is interesting, informative & rewardingin the action,graphics & realistic goals. My recommendation is to go straight into the normal level of play & above all let patience be your watchword. The Call of Duty series is definitely the bestin the whole genre of WW2 shoot em ups. I bought this on Amazon after completing Call of Duty World at War, I simply had to have more of the same!
