I was put off by the price at first but with my modem sitting quite a distance away I had no choice. It picks up the signal very well, it has not dropped off once unlike my laptop.
A great alternative to ethernet cables. - By: C. House, 06 Nov 2008
I bought this because my X-Box 360 is located quite some distance from my PC, at first I was skeptical; but it's proven to be a great alternative to the wired option. Simply plug itin & search for your wireless connection via the console itself & it works. - It looks sleek too, not taking up too much space on the back of the console. 100% recommended for people looking for the wireless alternative.

Easy to set up & little or no lag while gaming. Though if you download a lot of content you might want to keep that 30ft ethernet cable handy because it does seem very slow. Took nearly half an hour to download 50% of a demo (about 500meg). canceled it & used a cable & it took 5 minutes.
Good. But.... - By: Mr. Gideon G. Beddows, 05 Oct 2008
If you CAN put your Xbox360 near to your wireless router & run a cable then you SHOULD.
Wireless is NEVER faster than a cable.
However, if like me, this is not possible then you must have a bridge. After all, why have an Xbox360 if you are not going to play online?
It is very, very easy to set up & install as long as you have the information that you need about logging into your router.
My own wireless bridge took literally 5 minutes to install.
My work colleague asked me to do his for him & it took over 2 hrs, mainly because his router had a security setting on it which meant that you had to manually typein the 'code' of the machine trying to access the router.
This said, both mine & his have never had any problems.
3 stars only? Because you CANNOT shop around & buy this cheaper. It is a monopoly & should be questioned by trading standards or something?
NOTE: One thing to check. Go to the Xbox360 website & look to see if your router is on their compatible list (non compatible ones generally give a bad NAT rating). I had a Belkin & ended up buying a Netgear because if your N.A.T. setting is not 'OPEN' you cannot play properly on XBOX LIVE. You can always do 'port forwarding' but i'd rather pull out my own teeth with rusty pliers than get into that complicated load of old nonsense!! :o)
Overpriced - By: Zabba, 24 Aug 2008
While this product does work very well from what I've seen, it's simply too expensive. Couple this with the £40 a gold membership costs, you'll end up paying roughly £100 just to get Live up & running. Those who can connect there's directly by wire don't need to worry as they don't have to shell out £50-£60 for this, but for people like me, who's 360 lies ever so far away from a wireless router, it's an extremely annoying hinderance.
Also take into account, the Wii has this built in, now, fair enough, the Wii's online service isn't as developed or as good as Live, but it's free & builtin nevertheless. I don't mind paying for this productin general, but at £50-60 I find myself thinking that's it's just not worth the money.
