It's a great controller but be weary if you have a temper. - By: C. Leacock, 21 Apr 2007
I bought onein 2003 & besides the lack of rumble loved it until I threw it at a wallin anger while playing a button basher at Soul Calibur 2. The right shoulder was completely knacked afterward; so if you're prone to throwing things anger think before you buy a wavebird. But I've just bought a new one to go with my Wii because the wavebird is a natural fit for playing GC & VC games on the system. (JUST DON'T LOSE YOUR TEMPER AND CHUCK IT.)
Very Good - By: Joe Clarke, 07 Feb 2007
The only fault I can find with this wireless contoller is that it is not rechargeable, although it does take up rechargeable batteries.

And yes, it does work with the Nintendo Wii.

Always buy the official controllers as they hardly ever break. It is worth the extra cashin the long run!
Fantastic, But Expensive! - By: Mrs. Dawnc Alexandre, 29 Jan 2007
I was desperate to have a Wireless Controller for the Nintendo Gamecube, & I came across this controller & I really wanted it because it looked good! The part, which got me, though, was the price. Most shops I saw were selling this controller for a whopping £30, & you think to yourself, you might as well buy a game or even another Nintendo Gamecube at that price, let alone you've got to get the batteries as well.

It turned out that I found one of these controllers while we were on holiday for just a shy old tenner (£10), so I got it, & just as well as I did, because the controller these days is still selling at quite a heavy price!

The buttons on the Wavebird Wireless Controller are no different towards a normal Nintendo Gamecube controller, so getting used to the controller is as easy as pie. The Wireless Controller has a Power Supply & all you do is insert the power supply into a Gamecube Controller Socket, select a channel, turn on the Wireless Controller & you're off. Make sure that you choose the correct channels for the controller & the power supply, so for instance if you put the controllerin socket number 2 you choose Channel 2 for the Wireless Controller & the Power Supply. There are a total of 16 channels so this controller can be used when a Broadband Adapter is connected to the Nintendo Gamecube!

The battery pack is on the back of the controller & it requires 2 AA Batteries. They last a while & as a treat, Nintendo already given you two free batteries to start you off (Sweet Of Them)!

My Grade For The Controller: 8.5/10: Excellent, Wonderful, Good One

My Wish: I find it a nuisance when choosing the channels for the controller & the Power Supply. If there were an easier way of doing this, then that wouldn't be an issue for me!

Final Comments: An Excellent Wireless Controller & I will recommend it to you if you want to play it from the armchair, or the bed! My only cry is, it doesn't come very cheap!

Excellent controller - By: Piccolo, 07 Jan 2007
Just a quick review. I have recently bought a Wii & wanted to play on gamecube games wirelessly & so decided to investin a wavebird about a month ago.
All i can say its excellent, batteries(supplied), feels excellentin your hand, much better than the wii classic controller.
Only downside for those of you who value rumble is that its not there. due to the batteries for the wirelessness.
Amazing pad! - By: Mr. G. Moores, 03 Oct 2006
Forget any other GC pad, this is the one you want. The wireless functions work perfectly, the pad is comfortable as hell, while everything else from the buttons & analogue sticks work perfectly.

Do yourself a favour, & get this.
